After seeing all my group members present their topics during their presentations I have to say I was very impressed with everything they included. I also enjoyed all of the information that was included and I enjoyed listening to everyone present. 


Group 1: Economy and Potential Careers

Starting off with my group, our topics were Economy and Potential careers. I would like to say that I thought that all the information that we included in our presentation was very eye opening even to me and my group members because we are all about to start looking at future careers and how hard it can be to find that future career we want. One of the main things that I found very interesting that our group did was include interviews from people that we know about how the economy has impacted people trying to find jobs in the job market. This is something that is very important because we all know someone or we are trying to look for jobs to build our resume.

This is a slide from my group's presentation and what truly stood out to me was how many people are having such a hard time trying to find a job. This interview from our presentation informs us college students how hard it is to get a job after graduating college. It also states that when the economy is always changing it can be so much harder trying to get that potential career. Which I found very informative and something everyone should keep in mind especially if they want to get a highly competitive job. This is something that I took from my presentation because it can help us out in the future and I also think that all the information given in our presentation will help us and our peers in the future. 


Group 2: Families and Education 

Next up is group 2. Personally I believe that they have such an informative presentation about how hard and difficult it can be for children to be able to go and get the education they need and deserve because they may not have all the right resources. What also stood out to me in this presentation was all the different types of ways families can get the help they need for their children.

This slide is from group 2 and it really stood out to me because it shows all the different types of aid people can get to be able to send their kids or for people of all ages to get the education they want with the help they need. As I was watching their presentation this part really caught my attention because a lot of people have a fixed mindset that they can't get a proper education but they just don't look for the right resources. And I think that this is something that a lot more schools should advocate for people in the community so that every person has the chance for the education they want. I found this whole presentation very informative and I would look back at it again if I ever needed to. 


Group 3: Mental Health and Social life  

Lastly is group 3 this groups topics were Mental health and Social life. Looking back, this presentation showed me how important mental health can be in someone's life and all the different impacts that society and social life can have on mental health nowadays. And personally I think that this is such a large and broad topic today and I feel like they did a really good job covering all the main areas.

This is a slide from group 3 presentation and I picked this slide because the information that was given from the slide really spoke to me. Because of how important mental health is and how it truly can affect not only just people but how it can affect the world around us. I think that this slide was a really good explanation on how mental health is just for the mind but how it can affect society. And that really spoke out to me and people should take note of this because of how it can change the economy and world we live in. Overall I think this group did a really good job in stating all the facts about mental health within society and I found it very important and informational. 


Even though all the groups did amazing there were some things I think could’ve been done better. Like making sure things were put in the powerpoint on time, I remember presenting and see a slide that wasn't there 5 minutes before the presentation. I also think that everyone needs to know what slide they are presenting beforehand so that there are no pauses or awkward stops of silence in the middle of the presentation. Lastly, I think that everyone needs to make sure that all of their group members are there on time so that they can start the presentation with enough time for everyone to present. 


Overall in the end I think that everyone did amazing and all did their part to contribute to the presentations to make sure that they were able to do their absolute best. I am very proud of my group and the people in it because we were able to give an informative presentation. And I am also very impressed by all of my other peers and their presentations because they were all very informative and all contained information that could possibly help people that we know in the future. 


While doing this presentation I will say there were less nerves because I already knew how everyone works. Looking back now, I think that the bar for our last presentation was set even higher than before and I can't wait to see how well everyone will do. I am very eager to listen to what everyone has to say.

Alux Toledo - Reflection on Presentation (Part 1)

Between Connections and Collaborations, we all use Communication (by Alux Toledo) The other day, my fellow colleagues and I presented our slides pertaining to our assigned chapters in class. I believed these presentations were going to be boring, tedious, and overall mentally exhausting.
